Feature and Follow #11
Follow Friday is a really fun way to make new blogger friends and promote your blog in the process! This weekly meme is hosted byAlison Can Read and Parajunkee.
This week's Question:
Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you've read and loved?
The first book that popped into my head when I read this question was Anna and the French Kiss.
This cover was just SO cheese-tastic that I avoided it like the plague for months! Finally, the raving reviews convinced me to give it a try and I just fell in love with this book!
What about YOU? Link me up and I'll be hopping later!

I do agree- the cover makes it seem a lot fluffier than the story actually is. Old GFC Follower!

Maybe I will try this one because the cover so far hasn't convinced me either. Thanks for sharing and visiting My FF

I have heard nothing but great things from my wife about this book despite it's cheesy looking cover.

I was really hesitant to read this because of the cover, too, but the reviews were so good that I finally caved in and read it. I'm so glad that I did because I absolutely loved this book!
ReplyDeleteI love the new blog design, Joie! Thanks for stopping by!
I don't go for contemporary books these days, but yeah, this one is pretty boring.

This is the cover I was originally going to go for! It's not that I dislike the cover, it's just that it doesn't do the book justice. I think that if the models head hadn't been in the photo [not that she's not pretty, or anything!], it would be so much nicer. And, as you say, it's really cheesy.

Aww really?? I really like this cover and how happy Anna looks! It's exactly how I felt after reading the book, but I can sort of see how it's really cheesy! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh man! I can't believe I'm seeing this cover twice already! I actually liked it very much. Although if Etienne was on the cover as well, it would've been much better ;)

This books cover really isn't something that would make me want to read it. I've seen it before but never even bothered to check it out.
ReplyDeleteyes! AGREE, cheese cheese and MORE cheese!!:) Old follower!
ReplyDeleteLike this cover, but I agree it makes the book seem cheesy and simplistic which is the exact opposite. Great answer! Old follower.

Oh yes!! I remember that book! Haven't read it, but I've heard all sorts of awesomeness about it >_< I usually don't like contemporary covers, for some reason, unless they're really pretty...or hot...O_O (like Pushing the Limits). Great choice for this week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Joie~
Oldie, of course! ^_~
