This week's topic (as might be able to tell from the title) is Top 10 Books I've read in the Lifespan of my Blog. And oh my goodness this was so hard to narrow down to just 10!!
Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
*wipes tear from eye* awww my very first Melina Marchetta book!
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Etienne St. Clair.
Le swoon.
Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
Oh good lord, the PAIN of that ending!
I CAN'T.
Saving June by Hannah Harrington
Oh the snark. Oh the awesomeness of a road trip. Oh the swoon-worthy romance!
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
On Tumblr, we have this little phrase which is perfect to describe my reaction to this book.
THE FEELS.
OMG I CAN'T.
Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
I'm normally not into fantasy.... but this
The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
Vampires. The non-sparkly kind.
Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley
I don't know what it is with Aussie authors but they just write the best books!
Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder
My first Snyder book.
After finishing this, I completely understand why everyone loves her writing.
Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred
I swear the author must've been peeking in my head or something when she was writing this because this book has everything I've ever wanted in a story!
Wonderful list! I love Maria V. Snyder's books but I haven't read Touch of Power yet. We have TFiOS and Anna in common, and I also really enjoyed Saving June and Graffiti Moon. It was so hard to narrow down the list this week. I've heard such good things about Melina Marchetta, and I expect to see her on a lot of lists this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
I've never read any of these, heard of a few though. Looks like I have some looking up to do on GoodReads, lol. Always looking to add to my to-read list!
ReplyDeleteAmazing list!! :) I've read all except last one! I love Melina Marchetta and Jellicoe Road would be first on my list if I had review it on my blog!

Hey Joie!
ReplyDeleteI haven't stopped by in awhile so I wanted to say hi!
You are right! Aussie authors can really write some amazing books! I absolutely loved Graffiti Moon! You can check out my review for it HERE on my blog!
Anyway, I hope all is well and I will make it a point to stop by more!
Best Wishes,

Love your post. I'll admit I have read exactly none of the books on your list, but "Clockwork Prince" looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually an author as well as a blogger. Looking for good readers to let me know their thoughts on my work or the work of my fellow authors. If you're at all interested, I'd be willing to supply a digital copy of one of our novels. Pick one out at engenbooks.com if interested. I write YA thrillers.
Again, love the post.

ReplyDeleteI love you. No, seriously, I do. The Sweet Gum Tree is AMAZING and I swear I barely know anyone who has read it! Some girls on Goodreads made me read it and now we have a little I heart Nick club.
ReplyDeleteLove the list. There's a few on there I need to read & a few I need to look up now.
