Feature and Follow #9
Follow Friday is a really fun way to make new blogger friends and promote your blog in the process! This weekly meme is hosted byAlison Can Read and Parajunkee.
This week's question:
What would you do over if you were to start your blog again from scratch?
First off, let's cue the horrified gasp at the very thought of having to start my blog from scratch! This blog is like my baby and if for some crazy reason I lost it and had to start over, I would be devastated! D:
Okay, now to answer the actual question.
Honestly, I can't really pinpoint anything specific that I'd change about my blog. Maybe I would've like to have found The Perfect Layout when I first started--how I wanted to format my reviews, what background/template I wanted to use, etc.
I do wish I knew more about HTML to be able to design my own layout, hey, what can you do? Regardless, I rather like the layout I have right now, though I might change it up soon because I'm just one of those people that sees a new blog background and wants to try it out.
Yes, I am kind of a fickle girl....
So what about YOU? Leave me a link in the comments and I'll be hopping around! :)

I second the horrified gasp! Even though my blog is just a few months old it's been such a work in progress that I'm not sure how I'd cope if I lost everything! Good answer!
ReplyDeleteStopping through with My FF!
Happy Friday!
Great answer. Old Follower. I would absolutely hate it if I had to start over again. lol. Also I would have loved to know more about html, backgrounds and templates before I started. =] Thanks for sharing and visiting My FF

New follower :) Love the horrified gasp lol that is how I felt when I decided to return to the book blogging world and had to start over! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for following :)
ReplyDeleteSara @ upon a love story
When I first started I wish I knew how to format my reviews. I am so ashamed of all my reviews, no joke! :)

The thought of a blog-related disaster in which everything gets lost horrifies me, too. I'm obsessive when it comes to backing up files- on multiple drives, just in case.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! Our FF
haha I know! when I see a cute layout I'm really tempted, but then I'd have to mess w/ the blog for a while to get everything where it's supposed to be!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Hmm..everyone is saying HTML. I was lucky enough to have experience with HTML before. Anyway, very nice and funny answer!

ReplyDeleteChrystina @BookLiaison
I agree I wish I knew more about HTML it would make some things so much easier.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Have a great weekend!
Oh, I can't agree more with you, Joie! It'd be so much more awesome if I had been more like a HTML whiz when I started my blogg LOL! x) Well, I ADORE your layout so you clearly don't need to ever think about changing it soon! ;) Although I'm the kind of girl who is always tempted to change my background too LOL! x)
ReplyDeleteFabuluous answer! <3 Happy weekend, Joie! <3
I really, really wish I knew more about HTML, but like you said, whatcha gonna do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
I'd absolutely die if I had to start again! I really like your layout and I also needed some time to figure out how to do what on my blog! Thanks for sharing!

I would probably take that as a sign if my blog was deleted. I mean come on--I just started a few days ago and when I'm finally set, you delete yourself?! What is wrong with the world! New Follower.

A personal blog design would be nice, but I do like my blog design that I have! I like the journal like effect! Changing now would be a hassle and too much work, so I'll be staying where I'm at!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!
Old Follower :)
I agree ! I wish I was better at HTML, still trying to find that layout that suits me! Haha, thanks for stopping by my FF (:
ReplyDeleteI agree, Joie. I wish I knew more about HTML, too. I would really love to be able to design my own blog. Thanks for stopping by.

My blog is like my baby to and I honestly think I wouldn't change a thing. Old follower dropping by my FF
ReplyDeleteI'm not part of the hop today, but personally I would change the name of mine.
ReplyDeleteI like your background and layout!

I think most of us would have liked a better layout when we first started. I know I would have. :) New follower.
ReplyDeleteStormi
thanks for stopping by my blog. Old follower too, I know what you mean by Gasp, lol, funny
ReplyDeleteO_O You're the first one to point it out that way, Joie, and it nearly GAVE ME A HEART-ATTACK! >_< So true, our blogs are like our precious and unique virtual babies ^_^ I really love your current design, it's very pretty! And honestly? Knowing more HTML just adds more work. I love trying out different templates, but with my HTML, I tend to always go crazy and change different smaller details (still credit the creator, of course) and fixing dimension measures, etc. etc.... It's just a whole new level of stress =_=
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Old Follower, of course ^_~

I don't even want to think about re-doing my blog...so much work would be lost! Love your blog design! Old follower.
ReplyDeleteI got my blog design from the same site! And I am a new blogger and I would change my design immediately. Which I plan to do soon though I like mine now! I am the same as you I guess. :)

Oh, I know! If I had to start my blog from scratch I'd freak :)
ReplyDeleteGreat answer this week :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and thanks for stopping by my follow Friday!!
I would be horrified too if I lost my blog! I think that's why most use WP with their own host... no one can delete it no matter what because it's 100% yours. I never realized how much work it is either. Wish I had things figured out before I jumped in but then I might've never started, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF :0)
Oh my gosh- totally the same answer for me!! :) Love blogging but the actual blogging part wasn't easy to learn!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week :)

I use the cutest blog for my background too, and switch it up all the time. I like that it's so easy to do that. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteJessica @ Imma Bookworm
thanks for stopping by! I would be devastated if I lost my blog too, but the urge to share books would just prompt me to start over. What can you do? Knowing some HTML would have been good, but I'm proud of the little I've learned. Old follower!
ReplyDeleteScarlett at Books Before Bed!
I like your layout, but I can definitely see the appeal of wanting to try out something new! Old follower.
