Top Ten Sequels I'd Give My Firstborn For...

Top Ten Tuesday is a super fun meme hosted every week over at the broke and bookish--be sure to go and check it out!

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

The day I get my hands on this book, if ANYONE tries to disturb me while I'm reading, they should have good reason to fear for their lives.
I MUST FIND OUT THE FATE OF MY SHIP!!! T_T

(PS: if enough people tweet with hashtag #ClockworkPrincess, Cassie Clare's going to reveal the COVER! AT LONG LAST.
HERE's what's revealed so far...)

Quintana of Charyn (Lumatere Chronicles #3) by Melina Marchetta

I officially needed this book yesterday. Not even joking. I finished Froi of the Exiles last night and after that ending, which, granted, was not a cliffhanger per se, I'm left with so many questions and rampant emotions!!!

Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer

Squeeeeeee! YOU GUYS.
It has a cover! I'm so excited! Not only for meeting Scarlet and The Wolf, but I need to find out if Kai learns the truth about Cinder! The anticipation is eating me up inside!!

The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2) by Julie Kagawa

Sigh. It's so demoralizing when they don't even have a cover!

Scent of Magic (Healer #2) by Maria V. Snyder

Let me love you! <3

City of Heavenly Fire (TMI #6) by Cassandra Clare

Do I really need to explain why I need this book? I mean, it might not be life threatening if I don't get it soon, like the case with Clockwork Princess, but we don't know that for sure.... let's not take the chance that my body and mind will go into Jace-withdrawal.

Onyx (Lux #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Daemon Black.
'Nuff said.

The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #2) by Michelle Hodkin

WHAT THE FoSHIZZLE IS MARA?!?!?!?!
And that ending!!
W.T.F.
 I must know.

Sever (Chemical Garden #3) by Lauren  DeStefano

If you read book 2, I think you can sympathize with the shock I felt at that cliffhanger... and the agonizing wait before this book comes out.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
Will there be more Etienne and Anna?!?! Cricket and Lola?!?! More Paris?!
I must know! Stephanie Perkins's love stories are just made of awesome sauce.

  4. I loved Cinder and although I hated that cliffhanger ending, I can't wait for book 2 too. What an awesome list idea :-)

  5. I'm with you on Clockwork Princess and City of Heavenly Fire. The others I haven't read the first book yet. So many books, so little time.

    Check out my TTT.

  6. I absolutely agree with you about City of Heavenly Fire and Quintana of Charyn. And March 19, 2013 cannot get here fast enough, especially after today's epic cover reveal!

  7. Clockwork Angel is at the top of my to-read list, probably because I heard so much about Clockwork Prince when it was released, and everyone I know is anticipating Clockwork Princess (what I've seen of the cover so far is gorgeous).

I keep hearing about Melina Marchetta's work. I'm about to start Looking for Alibrandi in a few days, but she's an author I'm on the lookout for!

YES TO SCARLET. Cinder was phenomenal, but the ending left me heartbroken. I am dying to know what happens in her story next (and my friends who have read the ARCs keep talking about how fantastic Scarlet and Wolf are, and I want to meet them already too). February 2013 needs to come faster!

Wither, Fever, and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer are all on my to-read list as well. Guess I should get started on those, so I can read the sequels next year.

And Isla and the Happily Ever After is at the top of my anticipation list. Just because Anna and Lola were AMAZING and I can't get enough of Stephenie Perkins' writing.
