Synopsis:
"Separated from the girl he loves and has sworn to protect, Froi and his companions travel through Charyn searching for Quintana and building an army that will secure her unborn child’s right to rule. While in the valley between two kingdoms, Quintana of Charyn and Isaboe of Lumatere come face-to-face in a showdown that will result in heartbreak for one and power for the other. The complex tangle of bloodlines, politics, and love introduced in Finnikin of the Rock and Froi of the Exiles coalesce into an engrossing climax in this final volume."
My Thoughts:
Y'ALL. Oh. My freaking goodness. If I could legally marry a book, I would have a polygamous marriage with this series I AM NOT EVEN JOKING. Marchetta just has this inexplicable way of turning me into an emotional puddle of goo. If you don't believe me, here's my review of Finnikin of the Rock and Froi of the Exiles.
I think I still like the Australian covers more, but I love the girl on this cover is pretty in a non-traditional way and looks fierce. As. Heck.
They nailed Quintana's personality with that look/glare!
She sure is! You know? If the book only has the words, QUINTANA OF CHARYN on its cover, I think I'll still love it just the same. :) But that's just me though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating, Joie.

March is going to be an incredibly awesome month for books between this and Clockwork Princess on the 19th. Looking at this cover makes me wish I could fast forward a few months!
ReplyDeleteVivian the Spirit says: Really like this cover! Joie dear, may Vivi remind you that in a polygamous marriage, only one of the books you marry will be considered a "legal" union ^_^ but LOOOL you're SO cute! <3 i REALLY need to read Melina Marchetta >_< POOF!
