Waiting on Wednesday #32

WoW is an awesome weekly meme hosted over at Breaking the Spine

Author: Emily Murdoch
Expected Date of Publication: March 26, 2013

THERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND ...

A broken-down camper hidden deep in a national forest is the only home fifteen-year-old Carey can remember. The trees keep guard over her threadbare existence, with the one bright spot being Carey's younger sister, Jenessa, who depends on Carey for her very survival. All they have is each other, as their mentally ill mother comes and goes with greater frequency. Until that one fateful day their mother disappears for good, and the girls are found by their father, a stranger, and taken to re-enter the "normal" life of school, clothes and boys.

Now, Carey must come to terms with the truth of why their mother spirited them away ten years ago, while haunted by a past that won't let her go ... a dark past that hides many a secret, including the reason Jenessa hasn't spoken a word in over a year. Carey knows she must keep her sister close, and her secrets even closer, or risk watching her new life come crashing down.

Why am I excited?
Umm, because it sounds awesome! It sounds like a psychological mystery that has me captivated just from reading the blurb!

Author: Veronica Rossi
Expected release date: October 30, 2012

Before Perry and Aria, there was Roar and Liv.

After a childhood spent wandering the borderlands, Roar finally feels like he has a home with the Tides. His best friend Perry is like a brother to him, and Perry's sister, Liv, is the love of his life. But Perry and Liv's unpredictable older brother, Vale, is the Blood Lord of the Tides, and he has never looked kindly on Roar and Liv's union. Normally, Roar couldn't care less about Vale's opinion. But with food running low and conditions worsening every day, Vale's leadership is more vital—and more brutal—than ever. Desperate to protect his tribe, Vale makes a decision that will shatter the life Roar knew and change the fate of the Tides forever.

Why am I excited?
Roar was arguable my favorite character in Under the Never Sky (I have this tendency to love side characters more than main characters...) and I was really intrigued by his and Liv's story.
There are only 2 words to describe my and this book: WANT. NOW.

  6. I haven't read Under The Never Sky yet but I have been dying to. If You Find Me sounds very intriguing. Wondering what happened to make them run away 10 yeas ago and why her sister doesn't speak. Thanks for stopping by!

  7. These are both two I'm interested in. I haven't read Under the Never Sky yet though. On the TBR list.

Oh and I like the new (I think it's new) background.
