First off I got some great classics from a B&N sale:

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

I've actually never read these stories before but I'm currently in the middle of Splintered by A.G. Howard which is kind of an Alice retelling so I felt motivated to buy this for a future read.

Northhanger Abbey by Jane Austen

I'm slightly ashamed to say this but I ended up buying this one mainly because the cover was so darn beautiful.... and it was on sale too!

Don't worry, I fully intend to read this (eventually).

Persuasion  by Jane Austen

Ever since I finished Pride and Prejudice I have been wanting to read this one and now I finally have it! Huzzah!

And now for the most exciting book in my haul....

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Sooooo I already have a copy of this from the box set.... but just look it's so shiny and beautiful with extras and- I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT OKAY?

Bought:

Divergent by Veronica Roth

I actually read this book a while back, but never got around to getting a copy for my own collection so when I saw it on sale at the local Marshall's.... I couldn't resist!

Between the Lines  by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer

This will be my first Jodi Picoult book and I'm super excited because I've heard fabulous things about her... plus the story has to do with a fairy tale and I just LOVE those.

Silver by Talia Vance

Brianna has always felt invisible. People stare right past her, including the one boy she can't resist, Blake Williams. But everything changes at a house party where Brianna's charm bracelet slips off and time stands still. In that one frozen, silver moment, Blake not only sees her, he recognizes something deep inside her she's been hiding even from herself.

Discovering she is descended from Danu, the legendary Bandia of Celtic myth, Brianna finds herself questioning the truth of who she is. And when she accidentally binds her soul to Blake, their mutual attraction becomes undeniable.

But Blake has his own secret, one that could prove deadly for them both.

Bound together by forbidden magic, Brianna and Blake find themselves at the heart of an ancient feud that threatens to destroy their lives and their love.

For review:

The Lure of Shapinsay by Krista Holle

Ever since Kait Swanney could remember, the old crones of the village have been warning her to stay away from the selkies. They claim that like sirens of old, the seal men creep from the inky waters, shed their skins, and entice women to their deaths beneath the North Sea. But avoiding an encounter becomes impossible when Kait is spotted at the water’s edge, moments after the murder of a half-selkie infant.

Unexpectedly, Kait is awoken by a beautiful, selkie man seeking revenge. After she declares her innocence, the intruder darts into the night, but not before inadvertently bewitching her with an overpowering lure.

Kait obsesses over a reunion deep beneath the bay and risks her own life to be reunited with her selkie. But when she lands the dangerous lover, the chaos that follows leaves Kait little time to wonder—is it love setting her on fire or has she simply been lured?

Well that's it for my haul this week. Link me up in the comments--I'd love to see the new books you got!

This week was a really good week for me, in terms of acquiring new books to read!

I went a little crazy on Netgalley this week because I saw so many amazing titles that I wanted to read, so here's what I got:

Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan

I've heard such amazing things about this book so I was very happy when I got approved for this!

Speechless by Hannah Harrington

I fell in love with Harrington's writing style after Saving June and I hope I love this book just as much as her debut.

Painted Blind by Michelle A. Hansen

I'm a total sucker for greek myth retellings... and the Psyche and Eros story is one of my favorites!

The Brides of Rollrock Island by Margo Lanagan

"On remote Rollrock Island, men go to sea to make their livings--and to catch their wives.

The witch Misskaella knows the way of drawing a girl from the heart of a seal, of luring the beauty out of the beast. And for a price a man may buy himself a lovely sea-wife. He may have and hold and keep her. And he will tell himself that he is her master. But from his first look into those wide, questioning, liquid eyes, he will be just as transformed as she. He will be equally ensnared. And the witch will have her true payment.
Margo Lanagan weaves an extraordinary tale of desire, despair, and transformation. With devastatingly beautiful prose, she reveals characters capable of unspeakable cruelty, but also unspoken love."Sounds good, huh?

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Alright. Let's see what the fuss is about...

The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke

Umm, pirates + assassins + a kickbutt heroine....

Yes, please!

Palace of Stone (Princess Academy #2) by Shannon Hale

You better believe I jumped up and down and squealed when I got approved for this--I loved Princess Academy so I can't wait to see where this book goes!

Rape Girl by Alina Klein

This book tackles a pretty tough issue, but every review I've read has been singing praises of this book so I can't wait to read it for myself!

Two and Twenty Dark Tales anthology

"Dark retellings of Mother Goose Rhymes"

Dark Star by Bethany Frenette

A book about a girl whose mom is a superhero... O_o

The Sweetest Spell by Suzanne Selfors

LOVE the cover. Not yet sure about the concept: a girl who can turn milk into chocolate...

The Demon Catchers of Milan by Kat Beyer

The synopsis sounded too cool to resist.

And now, the book I bought this week:

Fire by Kristin Cashore

This is my favorite book in the Graceling Realm series so I just had to go out and get my own copy. (And hopefully, I will have reviews of all three books up soon).

Gargantuan haul, I know! These books are definitely going to keep me occupied for the coming weeks--on top of the books I still need to finish!!
So what did you acquire any new books this week? Link me up or just comment below--I just love hearing about book hauls! :)

The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde

I've heard some mixed reviews about this book, but the premise sounds really intriguing!

Endure (Need #4) by Carrie Jones

I've been a pretty big fan of Astley this series so I can't wait to see how it all ends. Please lord let Zara and Astley be endgame.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

This is probably the most anticipated book in my haul.

Yes, I am one of those people who have never read the amazing piece of literary creation called The Book Thief. But this will be remedied!

OK, this was more of an impulse-buy from Barnes and Noble.... I mean, look! It's got a pretty cover! AND it was only $2...
